Man gets 3 years in head shop case

By The Associated Press

CHEYENNE - A federal judge has sentenced a Gillette man to serve three years in prison for selling pipes and bongs at two Wyoming head shops.

U.S. District Judge Clarence Brimmer of Cheyenne on Thursday sentenced 38-year-old Jeffrey Wayne Doles on three felony convictions of selling drug paraphernalia.

Two of the convictions were for selling pipes and bongs at his Gillette shop, called Hip Hop Hippies. The third conviction was for selling the items at a separate store in Casper.

Doles had argued that the items were meant for smoking tobacco and legal herbs. He says it isn't his fault that some people used the items to smoke marijuana.

Why don't these news articles about Jeff mention that he had WON, been ACQUITTED twice on the same charges previous to the conviction? His right to double jeopardy protection has been compromised. Where are the freedom militias now?
